ingredients

-500 g of flour

-170 g of butter

-¾ cup of sugar

-5 tablespoons of oil

-1 teaspoon of nutmeg

-320 ml of milk

-1.5 teaspoons of yeast

-4 spoons of honey

-0.5 teaspoon of ginger

-2 teaspoons of cinnamon

Method of preparation

1. Heat the milk a little and dissolve the yeast in it. Then add 1-2 spoons of sugar and let it sit for a while. Sift the flour and add it to the yeast mass, pour a spoonful of oil and add 50 g of soft butter. Knead the dough and put it in a warm place for 1.5 hours.

2. Put 60 g of butter, the remaining sugar and 2 tablespoons of honey in a saucepan. Put the mixture on the fire, bring it to a boil and let it heat until it turns brown. Then take it off the heat.

3. Pour the obtained caramel into a baking dish with high edges.

4. Prepare the filling: melt the remaining butter, add the cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, remaining honey and mix the ingredients until smooth.

5. Gather the dough and roll it out into a rectangle. Cut the dough with a knife into strips about 5 cm wide. Apply the filling to the strips using a kitchen brush.

6. Roll the strips into a spiral and place them in the baking dish on top of the caramel.

7. Flatten the top of the cake slightly to distribute the batter evenly.

8. Let the cake rise for 20 minutes.

9. Place the mold in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.

10. Immediately remove the cake from the oven and turn it onto a plate so that the caramel does not harden.
