Wine braised pork cheeks: the recipe to make tender and savory meat

Ingredients: 

8 pork cheeks 

2 garlic clove 

1 leek 

1 carrot 

Half an onion 

200 ml of red wine 

600 ml of beef broth 

Salt and pepper 

Laurel 

Rosemary 

Olive oil 

Directions: 

1. Cook the meat on the sides in a pot with some olive oil. 

2. Remove from the pan and season with salt and pepper. Set aside. 

3. In the same pot place garlic and chopped vegetables. 

4. Cook over medium heat for a minute, then add meat. 

5. Pour in wine and let the alcohol evaporate for 3 minutes. 

6. Now add laurel leaves, rosemary, broth and salt. 

7. Cook with a lid on over low heat for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. 

8. Remove meat, blend cooking juice and add meat again to flavor it. 

9. Serve with some potatoes, if you like.
