The salmon rolls are a delicious cold appetizer and quick, to be made in just a few minutes and without cooking. An easy and super versatile recipe, to be customized with the ingredients you have available at home, ideal for party buffets, aperitifs and summer dinners with friends.
This is the rolled version of the classic salmon canapés and, to make them, simply roll out a slice of sandwich bread with a rolling pin and fill it with a spreadable cream cheese, flavored with grated lemon zest and chopped parsley, and smoked salmon, then wrap in a roll and finally cut into washers.
The result is a simple and tasty finger food, in which the delicacy of the cheese marries perfectly with the flavor of the smoked fish. If you like, you can add some rocketarugula or lettuce, and replace the salmon with swordfish, tuna, always smoked, or with a prawn carpaccio.< /span>

How to prepare salmon rolls
Step 1
First, transfer the cheese into a bowl and add a drizzle of oil1.

Flavor the cheese with grated lemon zest2.

Advice
The rolls can be customized with the ingredients you prefer: you can replace the spreadable cheese with robiola and, instead of parsley , add mint, chives, thyme or marjoram.
You can replace the smoked salmon with cooked or raw ham, or, for a vegetarian variant, omit the protein source and fill the bread to sandwiches with spreadable cheese and grilled courgettes, an aubergine cream or an olive pâté.
