✅

Instructions:
Prepare the Potato Dough:
Boil the diced potatoes until they are fork-tender. Drain and mash them thoroughly.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, butter, sugar, and salt.
Warm the milk and dissolve the yeast in it. Allow it to sit for a few minutes until it becomes frothy.
Add the yeast mixture to the potato mixture and mix well.
Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, until a soft and smooth dough forms.
Knead and Rise:
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes, or until it becomes elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size (about 1-1.5 hours).
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Assemble the Rolls:
Punch down the risen dough and divide it into equal portions.
Roll each portion into a ball and flatten it into a disc.
Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese in the center of each disc.
Fold the edges of the dough over the filling and pinch to seal.
Place on Baking Sheet:
Arrange the filled rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Egg Wash and Toppings:
Brush the tops of the rolls with the beaten egg.
Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds or poppy seeds on top for added texture.
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Cool and Serve:
Allow the potato rolls with cheese and ham to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Enjoy these delicious potato rolls with a gooey cheese and ham center! They’re great as a snack or for a light meal
