Many people know and love the “Napoleon” cake from childhood. Store-bought versions are not always as delicious as homemade ones. But if you want to treat yourself to something truly worthwhile and don’t have much time, you can make a “Lazy Napoleon”. You don’t need to turn on the oven for this dessert. The cake turns out crispy, and its delicate cream melts in your mouth. Honestly, this is the tastiest version of “Napoleon” I’ve ever tried. Give it a go!
Ingredients:
- 800 g puff pastry biscuits “Vushka” (ears)
- 1 liter milk
- 4 eggs
- 150 g butter
- 0.5 cup sugar
- 6 tbsp flour
- A pinch of vanilla sugar
Preparation:
- Mix eggs, sugar, flour, and vanilla sugar.
- Mix the mass well, add milk, and put on the heat.
- Cook the cream, stirring constantly, until it thickens completely. When the cream has cooled a bit, add the butter and mix everything.
- You can start assembling the cake: dip the biscuits in the cream and layer them on a plate. Don’t skimp on this wonderful cream — the more generously you spread it, the tastier it will be.
- Spread the last layer of biscuits with cream.
- Sprinkle the cream with biscuit crumbs! That’s it — the delicate dessert is ready.
