Homemade cake – a recipe as tasty as ever!

Remember the sweet moments of childhood, enjoying a slice of homemade cake. I used to look forward to this cake at all the holidays, because I loved it to the max for its delicious taste and special appearance.

Small balls of honey, bathed in soft vanilla cream and covered with chocolate glaze – a real pleasure for the taste buds… What could be tastier? Don’t miss this recipe and give the little ones magical moments!

Ingredients for balls

– 3 cups of flour

– 1 glass of sugar

– 1 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate

– 3-4 spoons of honey

– 2 eggs

– 3 teaspoons of butter

Ingredients for the cream

– 2 glasses of warm boiled milk

– 1 glass of sugar

– 2 eggs

– 3 tablespoons of flour

– 2 tablespoons of starch

– 70 g of butter

– vanilla sugar

– chocolate glaze (or melted chocolate) for decoration

Method of preparation

1. Marbles. In order for the balls to be airy and tender, you must prepare the dough in a bain-marie. Boil the water, put a saucepan on top in which you melt the butter, sugar and honey. Stir the mass continuously.

2. Then add the sodium bicarbonate, the mass should become white and increase significantly in volume.

3. Remove the saucepan from the bain-marie, let it cool a little, add the eggs and flour and knead the dough.

4. Preheat the oven and line the tray with baking paper. Shape the dough into small balls the size of a hazelnut. Space the balls in the pan as they will rise several times.

5. Bake them in the preheated oven at 200 degrees for 5-10 minutes.

6. Meanwhile prepare the cream in a bain-marie.

7. Pour the milk into a saucepan, beat the eggs with sugar, add the starch, flour and vanilla sugar, mix until smooth.

8. Add room temperature butter to the cream and beat with the mixer.

9. Pour the obtained cream over the cold balls and mix.

10. Place the custard balls in a tin lined with cling film and refrigerate overnight.

11. In the morning, turn the mold on a plate, remove the foil and pour the chocolate glaze or melted chocolate on top.
