Ingredients (for about 10–12 ice cream sandwiches):
- 500 ml fresh whipping cream
- 100 g sugar
- 22 dry biscuits (Pavesini or similar)
- 100 g hazelnut spread (Nutella or similar)
- 10 g unsweetened cocoa powder
Preparation Method:
- Prepare the base cream In a large cold bowl, pour the fresh whipping cream (straight from the fridge) and the sugar. Whip until you get a thick, creamy consistency. Divide the whipped cream into two bowls.
- Make the two flavors In one bowl, add the cocoa powder and mix well to create the chocolate cream. Leave the other bowl as vanilla cream.
- Assemble the ice cream sandwich Line a rectangular baking dish with parchment paper. Arrange a layer of dry biscuits to cover the bottom. Spread a teaspoon of hazelnut cream on each biscuit. Then spread half of the white cream and half of the chocolate cream over the biscuits, smoothing the surface with a spatula. Cover with another layer of biscuits to form a single “block”.
- Freeze Place the dish in the freezer for at least 6 hours.
- Serve Once frozen, cut the block into individual rectangular ice cream sandwiches with a sharp knife. Serve immediately or store in the freezer.
