preparation
- I have already tried different types of vegetables for this casserole, but the combination of peas and carrots with cheese sauce tastes the best
2. Start by peeling the potatoes, dice them, rinse them once under the tap, and then cook them al dente. - The roots (carrots) are also peeled and cut. Then cook until al dente, about 10 minutes.
- Add the frozen peas to the roots for the last 5 minutes and cook with them.
5.Now we peel the onion and the garlic cloves and chop them very small.
6.In a skillet, melt the teaspoon of butter and add the ground beef. Now season with salt, paprika powder and pepper. After 3 minutes, add the diced onion and garlic and fry until crumbly. Set the pan aside.
7.Take a small saucepan and melt the butter in it. Now add the flour while stirring with a whisk. Stir until no more flour is visible. Now the milk is poured in batches, stirring constantly!! Note: If the sauce seems too thick, simply pour in a little more milk.
8.Remove the pot from the heat and add the melted cheese and spices. Preheat the upper/lower heat of the oven to 200 degrees.
9.Put the minced meat in the first layer of the casserole.
10.2. Place the peas and roots on top.
11.3rd layer Distribute the potato cubes on top. - Now pour the cheese sauce evenly over the casserole.
13.Spread cheese slices or grated cheese over the casserole. - Top/bottom heat to 200 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes on the middle rack. I wish you a good appetite.
